Hanz was born in 2017 as the dream of Amilcar (from Cusco) and Kanami (from Japan), who combined their love for gastronomy, travel, and animals to create a unique space in Cusco. The restaurant is named after their dog, Hanz— a symbol of affection and the social purpose that inspires them: funding the “Colitas de Mamá” foundation, dedicated to rescuing abandoned dogs and supporting children from high Andean communities. With a minimalist, elegant, and pet-friendly concept, Hanz offers a cozy, home-like experience where every detail matters. Its mission is to deliver top-notch service that transforms each visit into a memorable experience, while its vision is to continue growing without losing its solidarity-driven essence or its prestige as a gastronomic reference in Cusco. The culinary proposal combines the best of Peruvian, Andean, and international cuisine: from classics such as lomo saltado, ají de gallina, trio of causas, and confit guinea pig, to Nikkei fusions, fresh pasta, meats, seafood, and vegetarian or gluten-free options.
